Activities: 
 

  • Social get-togethers including lunch groups, pot luck dinners, Holiday meals, book groups, topical discussion groups with an expert in areas ranging from environmental issues and archeological tours, to antiques and collectibles, to foster grandparenting and intergenerational relationships.  Singles groups.  Sports teams for tennis, baseball, bocce ball, golf, pickle ball, cards, board games, sailing, fishing trips, trivia, etc.  Theater and movie outings locally, around the Island, and in New York.

  • “Conversations with . . .” four times each year there will be a members-only conversation with local, regional, national and international experts, researchers and authors in a wide range of topics.  The Hampton’s is home to many of the world’s most notable people.  Each year four people will be invited to address our members and discuss member’s questions.
     

  • Travel ranging from one day to month-long trips.  Long Island, the Northeast, Washington, D.C., etc. – we are uniquely located close to many historic, cultural, and fun places to visit and explore.  Members will be able to leave their cars home and travel in the comfort of a private coach to areas of interest around our region.  Annually, we will plan trips abroad ranging from Europe, to Asia, to Australia and New Zealand.  Our trips are for members only, however, we are planning grandparent trips in which you will be able to bring up to two grandchildren.  There will also be one cruise per year.
     

  • Cultural activities include museum trips around Long Island, Manhattan, Boston, Rhode Island Mansions at Christmas, and Washington, D.C.’s broad array of Smithsonian and art museums.

Caregivers, Palliative Care, Hospice Referral Services:
 

  • Licensed staff will assist in securing and vetting semi-professional and professional home health services.
     

  • Licensed staff will assist in securing trained semi-professional aides to care for members who develop dementia.
     

Medical Scholarship Fund:
 

  • Members may deplete their resources in the event of a catastrophic illness.  A scholarship fund is established to assist those members who require supplemental financial assistance to remain at home.
